Mabel Community Foundation Informational Meeting

Public is invited to:
Mabel Community Foundation
Informational Meeting

Date: July 15th
Time: 6:30 pm
Location: Mabel Community Center

Have you ever wanted to make a change in Mabel? Perhaps create a new park or assist the school district with curriculum, supplies, technology or afterschool programs? A community foundation is the perfect vehicle to better the future of our community. A community foundation offers residents a way to keep philanthropic dollars local and make community improvements. A board of passionate local leaders works with the community to address the needs of today and those of the future. Community Foundations are grant making organizations that could help with the following initiatives in your community:

  • community beautification projects such as flowers, park improvements
  • constructing and renovating playgrounds
  • community gathering events or spaces
  • community gardens and farmers markets
  • assist schools with curriculum, supplies, technology or afterschool programs
  • assisting local nonprofits such as the food shelf or domestic violence shelters
  • supporting community festivals through sponsorships
  • supporting summer food programs for kids
  • internship programs
  • city signage to promote economic development
  • veterans memorials
  • scholarships for local students
  • and many more!

A meeting will be held in the Mabel Community Center on Wednesday, July 15th at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the reinvigoration of the Mabel Community Foundation and is hosted by the Mabel EDA. We hope to see you there!
